Want to try Pebble?

“Saving time gives me more time to bring new customers on board.”
– Diana, Founder, Dolce Senso Baking Academy

Baking confidence, not just cakes

Diana is the founder of Dolce Senso Baking Academy and creator of the Ofsted registered Bake & Play Cookery Club.

What started as a small passion project and a few baking classes has grown into a joyful, confidence-building space where children:

  • Learn new skills each week

  • Build an “I can do this” attitude

  • Work as part of a team

  • Bring maths and science to life through baking

  • Have a blast while making something delicious

For Diana, it has never been just about recipes. Every activity is a chance for children to grow, solve problems and feel proud of what they create.

As demand grew, the admin did too. That is when things stopped feeling fun.

The challenge: When growth means more paperwork than baking

Dolce Senso started five years ago, just before Covid, with simple baking kits and a few small classes. At that stage, doing everything manually was just about manageable.

As the Bake & Play Cookery Club became more popular, the cracks started to show:

  • Bookings were managed by hand

  • Allergy information had to be chased for every child

  • Registers took time to build for each class

  • Contacting parents with updates or recipes was a manual job

Time that should have gone into planning brilliant sessions was being swallowed by spreadsheets, messages and chasing forms.

Diana knew something had to change if she wanted to reach more children without burning out.

The switch to Pebble: Bookings within two days

One day, Diana received a call from the Pebble team.

“We booked a meeting for me to learn how to navigate and how to launch the clubs. Two days later, I was receiving bookings.”

With Pebble, she was able to:

  • Set up Bake & Play clubs online

  • Open bookings to parents in just a few clicks

  • Bring everything into one place instead of juggling tools

The platform quickly moved from “nice to have” to “essential” for day to day running.

Key results: Less chasing, more growing

1. Allergy information collected upfront

Previously, allergy forms were a constant worry. Diana needed that information before every class, but parents were busy and replies could be slow.

“I was wasting time chasing the parents to complete their children’s allergy information, which is really important. With Pebble, with a few clicks, the questions are answered.”

Now:

  • Allergy questions sit inside the booking flow

  • Parents fill them in as they book

  • Diana has complete, accurate information before each session

That means safer sessions and less stress.

2. Time back for growing the business

Time management was the single biggest pain point.

“For me the most important thing was time management. Pebble solves that problem.”

With admin cut right down, Diana can:

  • Focus on bringing new customers on board

  • Develop more clubs and holiday activities

  • Spend more time with children in the kitchen, not at the computer

3. One click registers and simple parent updates

On a busy club day, Diana can:

  • Pull a register for the day with one click

  • See exactly who is attending and any key details

  • Email parents in each class quickly with recipe information or updates

“With one click, I can get the register for the day. Also I am able to contact the parents of each class to update them with some information about recipes. Before, it was really difficult for me.”

Parents love the simple checkout

It is not just the admin that has improved. Parents have noticed the difference too.

“The parents say that they love the easy process and the checkout.”

A smooth booking journey helps:

  • Reduce confusion and back and forth

  • Make clubs feel more professional and reliable

  • Encourage repeat bookings and word of mouth

From manual juggling to confident growth

Dolce Senso Baking Academy has gone from a small, manual operation to a growing, Ofsted registered cookery club that gives children joy, skills and confidence every week.

Pebble has helped Diana:

  • Automate the boring bits

  • Keep children safer with clear allergy records

  • Keep parents informed and happy

  • Free up time to grow, not just cope

If you are running holiday camps or after-school clubs and feel like admin is getting in the way of the magic you offer, Dolce Senso’s story is a clear example of what can change when you have the right platform behind you.
