Pebble serves up growth for International Tennis Coaching

Tennis has always been in Stephen Wright’s life: a talented player growing up, he started his coaching career aged 17 — and hasn’t stopped. “I don’t think I ever will, either,” he says. “As long as I’m still enjoying it, I’ll be doing a couple of hours on the court.” 

In fact, sportiness runs in the family. Stephen’s sisters Bethany and Sophie run The London Ballet Company, which is also loving life on Pebble.

Stephen founded International Tennis Coaching 20 years ago, originally to offer coaching through tennis clubs. He’s since expanded to running breakfast, lunchtime and after-school tennis sessions in 50 schools across the UK, from Devon to Newcastle to Wales. 

He’s adding schools and coaches to his network each term, too: International Tennis Coaching employs 46 coaches at the moment, and that’s set to grow. Stephen’s offering for schools extends beyond tennis, too, to fitness clubs, sports and martial arts. 

Time to upgrade from Excel

“I used Excel spreadsheets for about 19 years,” Stephen shares. “I knew there were platforms out there but I was stuck in my ways for almost two decades.” 

Eventually, International Tennis Coaching outgrew those spreadsheets; Stephen was spending hours typing and knew he needed a change. “I’d looked at a lot of other platforms, but they didn’t really do what I needed. Then I came across Pebble — I wish I’d found it years ago, instead of spending so many hours typing into Excel…!”

International Tennis Coaching varies its session prices per school, so being able to flexibly manage these is a big plus on Pebble. “Our discount codes are ready to roll and the refunds feature is easy to use,” he says.  

Looking ahead, Stephen’s aiming to expand to schools in Scotland, and bring his tennis club and holiday camp work onto Pebble. “It’ll continue to help me grow,” he adds.
